Savannah Ghost Walks TM and Savannah Cultural Heritage Tours and Events Founder, R. Chase Anderson is a Savannah Actor, Musician, Folklorist, Southern Storyteller, and Paranormal Researcher with ancestral roots in downtown historic Savannah. His grandmother was born downtown just off Calhoun Square (a few steps from "432 Abercorn" The mortal remains of Chase's great-grandfather reside in Savannah's Laurel Grove Cemetery.
Anderson became a Savannah tour guide in 1983 when he first started sharing Savannah Ghost Stories. Returning to his early love of Ghosts in 2010, Anderson opened Savannah Ghost Walks and S.H.I.P.S. (Savannah History Institute for Paranormal Studies) to deepen and expand paranormal studies and investigations. He is the producer-performer in "The Ghosts of Christmas in The Sorrel-Weed Mansion" and various spirit-filled and Living History era cue shows throughout the year.
He has an English degree with a concentration in Shakesperean studies from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT.
Savannah Ghost Walks include many things. Haunted Savannah is grounded in 'hidden history,' or 'deep history' --events that left behind a strong residual energy overlaying sacred Indian burial grounds and other hidden burial grounds throughout the city.
